Terms of Service

Service operator: Manteco is currently operated by Amos Halfon as a natural person (Codice Fiscale: HLFMSA85S01H501R, residing in Via Ignazio Giorgi, 32 — 00162 Roma, Italia) during the pre-launch/beta phase. Upon incorporation of a legal entity, these Terms will be updated and all users notified.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Manteco at app.manteco.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Manteco is a software-as-a-service platform that provides Italian hospitality businesses (restaurants, bars, hotels) with tools to manage:

• Inventory, suppliers, daily revenue
• Personnel, shifts, payroll calculations
• HACCP compliance (temperatures, cleaning logs, certificates)
• Customer reviews on Google Business Profile (with AI-assisted multilingual replies)
• Multi-location aggregated analytics

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at security@manteco.io.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use Manteco for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false business information or impersonate another business
• Use the Google Business Profile integration to post deceptive, spammy, or policy-violating replies on Google
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
• Use automated scripts to access the API except through documented endpoints
• Resell or sublicense access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Google Business Profile Connection

When you connect your Google Business Profile account:

• You authorize Manteco to read your reviews and post replies on your behalf, subject to the rules and approvals you configure inside the Manteco settings.
• You remain solely responsible for the content of replies published on Google, whether written by you or generated by AI.
• AI-generated replies are suggestions; you can review and edit them before publication. If you enable auto-reply, replies for ratings at or above your configured threshold are published automatically per your rules.
• Google's own Terms of Service and Business Profile content policies apply to all replies. We are not responsible for content that violates Google's policies.

You can disconnect at any time from Manteco settings or by revoking access from your Google security page.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Manteco uses Anthropic Claude to generate reply suggestions.

• AI is a tool, not a substitute for human judgment. Especially for negative reviews or complex situations, manual review is strongly recommended.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated replies are factually accurate, brand-appropriate, or compliant with local advertising regulations.
• You are responsible for verifying AI suggestions before publishing.

7. Subscription, Pricing, Refunds

Manteco is currently in pre-launch / beta phase and is offered free of charge to early adopters. No subscription or billing is in place at the time of these Terms.

Once paid plans are introduced, these Terms will be updated to describe subscription tiers, billing cycle, refund policy and cancellation. Existing users will be notified at least 30 days before any change to the pricing model takes effect, and continued use after that date will constitute acceptance of the new pricing terms.

8. Data Ownership

• Your data is yours. Operational data you enter remains your property. Manteco has no claim over your customer lists, recipes, financial data, or any other business content.
• We may use aggregated, anonymized data for service improvement and benchmarking, but never in a way that identifies your business or customers.

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.5% uptime but make no guarantees. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers (Railway, Netlify, Google).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Manteco is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
• Our liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for Manteco in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill.

This does not affect rights that cannot be excluded under Italian consumer protection law (Codice del Consumo) where applicable.

11. HACCP and Regulatory Compliance Disclaimer

Manteco's HACCP module is a digital record-keeping tool. It does not replace:

• A proper HACCP analysis by a qualified food safety consultant
• Your manual of self-control (Manuale di Autocontrollo)
• Adherence to ASL regulations and inspections

You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable food safety and labor regulations.

12. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms or prolonged inactivity (>12 months). Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, except where law requires longer retention.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent Italian court of Rome (Foro di Roma).
